Our products

What we make by hand

From the jahla that keeps water cool to planters and models. Every piece is shaped on the wheel and fired in our kiln.

Wide-mouthed, thick-walled pots in front of a lit niche in the workshop wall.
برمة
Burma · Cooking pot

We make it thicker and stronger than the water jars, so it can sit over the fire.

A row of fired water jars the colour of the clay, banded with rope decoration, by the workshop door.
جحلة
Jahla · Water jar

Our best known piece. We leave the clay unglazed so it keeps the water cool at room temperature.

Pierced pieces cut with a star pattern, lined up waiting for the kiln.
مجمر
Majmar · Incense burner

We give it a firm bed for the coal, and leave air space beneath the burning zone.

Two jars as tall as a person, with two smaller ones beside them, all banded with rope decoration.
خرس
Khars · Date jar

Our large storage jar. It is used above all for keeping dates.

A large clay coffee pot, with its spout and handle and a pattern cut into the body.
دلة
Dalla · Coffee pot

We make it from clay for coffee and tea, along with the cups and the dishes.

Rows of small plant pots on the floor, with one of us among them.
أصيص
Asees · Plant pot

Pots for gardens and plants, a steady part of what we sell today.
